Born 1956. An Irish and American citizen. M.D., F.A.C.P., M.S.P.H., Ph.D., M.B.A., trained in Internal Medicine at the Mayo Clinic. He completed undergraduate degrees in chemistry and economics and graduate degrees in epidemiology (M.S.P.H and Ph.D.), medicine (M.D.) and business (M.B.A) from the University of North Carolina (UNC), where he was a John Motley Morehead Scholar. He co-founded Concentric Health Alliance, a global personal protective equipment supply company. He is a board member of Pascal Metrics, the world’s leading health care harm reduction solutions company and of Sniffle Health, a telehealth platform company, as well as an advisory board member for Microbicbloc (chair), Courage Ventures, Incision Care and Ataia, and Chief Clinical Officer for Solomon Page, the second largest global executive search company based in the United States. Earlier positions included Consultant and founding Head of the Mayo Section of Health Services Evaluation, Professor of Medicine and Epidemiology, Emory University, and Senior Vice President and Chief Quality Officer of Baylor Scott & White Health. He is Adjunct Professor of Health Policy and Management in the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health.
